WLED LED-strip controller · SMLIGHT
SLWF-11.
Big light. Small board.
SLWF-11 by SMLIGHT is a compact controller that turns any addressable LED strip into a
smart light. It ships pre-flashed with WLED — the most popular open-source LED
firmware — so you can wire up a strip, join it to your Wi-Fi and start painting light from
your phone within minutes of unboxing. No hub, no cloud account, no subscription.
Millions of colours, hundreds of animated effects, schedules, presets and multi-device sync
— all running locally on the board and controlled from a free app on your phone, tablet
or computer.
Attention — IR remote
The SLWF-11 ships WITHOUT an IR remote by default
The board has a built-in 38 kHz IR receiver, so it fully supports IR-remote control —
but the physical remote is only included in the specific IR-remote bundle. If you want to
control your lights with an IR remote, please select that bundle when ordering.
What it is
The SLWF-11 is a tiny WLED controller — the brain that sits between your power supply and
your LED strip and makes it addressable and smart. Screw in a few wires and every LED becomes
individually controllable: solid colours, gradients, chases, music-reactive effects and more.
Set up in about 10 minutes
No soldering required
01
Wire the strip
Connect your LED strip to the screw terminal (power, data — and clock for 4-wire strips). No soldering required.
02
Power it
Use a USB-C cable, the DC barrel jack, or the screw terminal — one source at a time.
03
Join Wi-Fi
Connect to the SLWF-11’s setup hotspot with your phone and pick your home network.
04
Light it up
Open the WLED app (or any web browser) and start choosing colours and effects. Done.
Key hardware
ESP8266 Wi-Fi SoC
Pre-flashed with WLED.
Level-shifted outputs
Data (GPIO2) and Clock (GPIO12) at clean 5 V logic, so your strip gets a strong, reliable signal.
Drives 3-wire and 4-wire strips
WS2812B-class 3-wire strips and 4-wire clocked strips (APA102 / SK9822 / WS2801-type) alike; 5 V-tolerant strips such as WS2815 work too.
Built-in 38 kHz IR receiver
On GPIO4 — dim, switch effects and power on/off from an IR remote (remote included only with the IR bundle).
Button & status LEDs
On-board push button (GPIO0) and 2 × status LEDs (GPIO14 / GPIO16).
Built-in USB-to-UART
Reflash the board to any firmware straight over the USB-C cable, no external adapter needed.
DIY expansion header
Spare GPIOs, an ADC input and 3.3 V / GND for your own sensors and mods.
Power it your way
One source at a time
USB Type-C (5 V)
For the bench or a phone charger.
DC barrel jack
5.5 × 2.1 mm — for standard power adapters.
Screw terminal (VCC / GND)
For permanent installs and higher-current supplies.
Strips from 5 V to 24 V are supported.

physical remote.
SLWF-11 or SLWF-03?
Both are SMLIGHT WLED controllers. The SLWF-11 (ESP8266) is the compact,
essentials-first choice and supports sound-reactive effects with a small external microphone.
The SLWF-03 (ESP32) has a built-in digital microphone for sound-reactive
lighting out of the box.
Choose the SLWF-03 for music-reactive lighting with zero extra parts.
Choose the SLWF-11 for clean, reliable strip control in the smallest footprint.
