SLWF-12.
Open board architecture. Flexible firmware. Smart IR.
SLWF-12 — a compact Wi-Fi board based on ESP8266 with a built-in IR transmitter, IR receiver, USB/UART converter, and open DIY pinouts. Sends commands to infrared-controlled devices, receives signals from existing remotes, and integrates them into smart home automations.
The board remains flexible: install ready-made firmware, build your own, or expand the hardware through the available GPIO, UART, and ADC.
IR transmitter and receiver
Controls TVs, air conditioners, soundbars, amplifiers, fans, projectors, and other equipment with an IR remote.
Command capture and playback
Point the remote, press a button — the board captures the signal and can reproduce it itself later. Useful when ready-made IR codes for the device are not available.
Ready for Home Assistant
Through compatible firmware (for example, ESPHome with remote_receiver/remote_transmitter), IR functions become available in dashboards, scripts, and automations.
Flashing without a programmer
The built-in USB/UART converter (CH340N) is connected directly to the ESP8266 programming interface. Connect via USB — flash it, no external programmer required.

01
Connect via USB
Built-in CH340N — no separate programmer required.
02
Flash it
Ready-made firmware or your own build for ESP8266.
03
Learn or configure
Point the remote to capture commands, or connect directly to Home Assistant.

SLWF-12 is not a closed IR device, but a full-featured board for your own projects. GPIO, ADC, UART TX/RX, Reset, 3.3 V, 5 V, and GND are exposed — providing direct access to the ESP8266, IR circuitry, USB/UART interface, and expansion connectors. Add sensors, buttons, external modules, or your own electronics.
IR transmitter + receiver
Both channels on one board — send and receive commands without separate modules.
Home Assistant compatibility
Through supported firmware — directly in dashboards, scripts, and automations.
ESP8266 Wi-Fi
A proven platform with a large community and ESPHome compatibility.
ESPHome and custom firmware compatibility
You are not tied to a single firmware — choose a ready-made solution or write your own.
GPIO, ADC, UART, power
A complete set of pinouts for expanding with your own sensors and modules.
Ideal for local automations
IR devices become a full part of the smart home rather than a separate "black box".
SLWF-12 has ready-made proprietary SMLIGHT AC Bridge firmware — one-click air conditioner learning, synchronization with the original remote, scenes, schedules, and full integration with Home Assistant, MQTT, and Telegram. See the separate firmware card for details.
Replacing old IR remotes with Home Assistant control.
Devices without ready-made IR codes — capture and reproduce the commands yourself.
DIY projects with your own sensors and electronics based on open hardware.
