The smallest way to add Zigbee to your server.
SLZB-07x by SMLIGHT is a compact USB stick that connects your Zigbee or Thread network directly to your smart home server. It is simply a radio chip behind a USB converter in a compact enclosure with an antenna. Plug it into a port — and it works.
The series consists of five models with the same enclosure and USB bridge — only the radio chip inside differs. First, what the device does, then which model to choose.
What it does

Zigbee coordinator or router
Manages your Zigbee network directly out of the box — compatible with Zigbee2MQTT and ZHA, with no additional drivers.

Thread/Matter radio
On compatible chips, it works as a Thread radio for a Matter-over-Thread border router in Home Assistant.

Plug-and-play, no cables
Comes pre-flashed. No toolchain or flashing cable is needed to get started — just a USB port.

Compact size — 54 × 18 × 10 mm
The smallest USB Zigbee stick in the SMLIGHT lineup with an external antenna. The slim enclosure does not block neighboring ports on a server or USB hub.

How to get started

Connect to a USB port
Server, mini-PC, Raspberry Pi, or NAS — any available USB-A port. No drivers required.

Select the dongle in the software
Zigbee2MQTT, ZHA, or the Thread integration will automatically detect the device on its serial port.

Done
The network is ready. Radio chip firmware can be updated remotely through access to the server.

Together with the external antenna, it covers remote corners without a USB extension cable.

Rotatable +3 dB antenna
External, with 3-axis adjustment — point it toward the network rather than the server wall.

4-layer PCB
Isolates the radio chip from USB bus and neighboring device interference — maintaining the connection even in dense server racks.

USB-powered
No separate power supply is required — the device is powered from the same USB-A port.

Exposed pin headers
Exposed radio chip pins for DIY flashing, debugging, and custom firmware.

Compact enclosure
54 × 18 × 10 mm — does not occupy the neighboring port on a dense board or USB hub.

The radio firmware can be updated remotely with access only to the host server — without physical access to the device.

Connect multiple SLZB-07x devices to one server — for separate Zigbee networks or extended coverage with multiple coordinators.

EFR32 variants (07, 07Mg24, 07Mg26) support USB flashing without additional cables or a toolchain.
